LR4 (Discovery) refresh. Don't like the LEDs, grill looks cramped, and who the fuck thought replacing the "Land Rover" fonts on the grill was a good idea?!?! Damn it JLR, there are only so many buttons you can push before I start fanboy raging. Fucking up the Disco is one of them.

Kinja'd!!!

It does look better here thought. I just don't like them blinging up the Disco. It and the Defender are to sacred for that stuff.

Honestly it's now going even more look like a chinese SUV.

I mean, if one day me and my girl saw this one on the street, I'm.pretty sure she will ask "honey, is there any carmaker named Discovery? Are they a new chinese start-ups or something?"

My dad refuses to upgrade his 05 Discovery 3 , he believes the Discovery 4 was far too blingy and tacky... now I know he will despise this. He also want's to keep his 6 speed manual and v6 diesel, something you can't do on the newer models.

Whats the point in adding all of this glitz, I understand its to spread the new design language across the range, but most people who want a Discovery.. don't care for the LED's or cheese grater grill.
I mean hell, the new RR sport has seven seats now. The bling patrol that need space for their 5 kids can get that. They should have simplified the design and left it at that.

I liked the Discovery 3, was a massive improvement on the Discovery II which I am more familiar with than i'd like to be. The II was still quite agricultural.

The problem I have is that comparing the Discovery 4 to the Range Rover it's hard to see why you'd go for the Range Rover other than for the status symbol element, especially when the Disco is actually bigger. The differences between the Discovery, Range Rover Sport and Range Rover are really hard to discern when the price difference is much easier to see.

It's unchanged everywhere else (which is good). The LR4 was one of the last classically styled SUV, very handsome looking thing. With this thought.... I really thought the Disco wouldn't be bastardized. Between this, the size growth of the RR range, and the unibody switch, I'm really starting to fear for LR.

I actually don't hate it, I'm guessing options will allow you to de-bling it. It's waaaay better looking than the new Land Cruiser.

I can still see myself sinking that thing in a lake.

Ya, but.

That Discovery fonts is just stupid.

My father once tell me he wants a Discovery, but I'm not sure he wants a this one.

If this thing just said "The Disco" up front, I would love it so...
but "Discovery" just sounds boring...
